Pennbrook Middle School Students Win at Technology Student Association Conference

Pennbrook Middle School students in the Technology Student Association (TSA) competed in the regional conference held at Colonial Middle School on Saturday, Jan. 27. A total of 14 students competed and all qualified for the state competition.

TSA is a student organization focused on career readiness and technical exploration. TSA fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design, and engineering. Students in middle and high school have the opportunity to apply and integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts through co-curricular activities, competitive events, and related programs.

Pennbrook students competed and placed in the following categories:

        Career Prep- 2nd place, Elva Vibhute

        Coding- 2nd place, team

        Cybersecurity- 6th, Sanat Shrikhande

        Essays on Technology- 1st, Amanda Lee

        Inventions and Innovations- 3rd, team

        Leadership Strategies- 2nd, team

        Mechanical Engineering- 3rd, team

        Mechanical Engineering- 6th, team

        Off the Grid- 4th, team

        Prepared Speech- 4th, Elva Vibhute

        Problem Solving- 1st, team

        Problem Solving- 3rd, team

        Promotional Marketing- 7th, Amanda Lee

        Structural Engineering- 1st, team

        Video Game Design- 5th, team

        Website Design- 3rd, team
